Dear Parents/Carers,
Please see below guidance on how to apply for a place for your child in Primary 1 for September 2026. (Please note, this guidance will only be applicable when applications open from 7th January 2026, until 21st January 2026 at 12.00 noon.
- Go to the Education Authority Website using this web address by clicking this link:
https://www.eani.org.uk/parents/admissions - Once on the site above. You will be asked ‘Is your child currently in receipt of a statement of Special Educational Needs’.
- Click ‘No’ to this question. (If your child does have a Statement of Special Educational Needs, the EA will make an application to the appropriate Primary School on your behalf, and you do Not need to apply to a primary school).
- Now select that your child is 4 years old.
- Now select the option ‘Apply for Primary 1 for 2026/2027 (this will only be live from Wednesday 7th January 2026 at 12.00noon)

St Teresa’s PS will also provide further guidance and support for parents applying to Primary 1 as follows:
- *Parents/carers can make an appointment so that a member of staff will help them complete the online application in school at any point between Wednesday 7th January 2026, until Wednesday 21st January at 12.00 noon..
- *Parents/carers can make individual appointments at any time to meet the principal/V Principal or member of the Senior Team to discuss further what St Teresa’s PS can offer your child. Please contact the school office to arrange the appointment.
