Important Notices

WITHDRAWAL OF PUPILS BEFORE THE END OF THE SCHOOL DAY

Parents should ensure that as far as possible appointments for pupils are made after school finishes and that children are not withdrawn from class for trivial reasons. Most medical and other practitioners will appreciate that it is important not to disrupt the child’s education and accommodate this. Parents however who do need to withdraw a child should inform the office that morning, in person or by phone by 9.30 am, so that arrangements can be made to have the child ready in the hall and classes do not have to be disturbed unnecessarily. In these instances if you are not collecting your child personally please let the office know who you have authorised to collect them.

TELEPHONE CONTACT NUMBERS

It is essential that we have the correct contact numbers for pupils in our data system. A number of times parents change their phone numbers and forget to inform the office. We have also recently come across many phone numbers that do not take incoming calls. In this case we need to have alternative landline or mobile numbers to enable us to get in contact with parents. This is very important in case we need to contact you urgently due to illness. Contact information forms are available from the school office if you need to update your contact numbers.

SCHOOL TEXT MESSAGING SERVICE

We operate a school text messaging service which provides parents and staff with immediate information regarding unexpected changes to the school day ie. school closures as a result of adverse weather conditions.  If you would like to avail of this service please contact the school office and complete a contact information form.

PARKING

Thank you for your co-operation with the parking arrangements in the school yard. Please drive with the utmost care, park only between the white lines and observe the expected procedures at the zebra crossings. There must be NO PARKING between or on the double yellow lines at any time. The proper gates must be used to enter and exit.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Please note that for health and safety reasons dogs are not permitted on the school site at any time.

St Teresa’s Primary school is a NUT FREE school.  Packed lunches and Break snacks should not include any items of food that contain nuts to protect our pupils with nut allergies (this also includes kiwi fruit).

MOBILE PHONES

Please note that the use of mobile phones is not permitted in school.  If your child requires the use of a phone for after school it should be switched off and left in the school office for collection when school finishes.
