Congratulations to the P7 children, supported by the P6&7 choir, who performed this year’s school show ‘Matilda-The Musical’.
This marked a very special occasion in the life of our school. It was yet another wonderful opportunity for us to showcase the many talents of our children. They prepared tirelessly for the performance. From acting and singing to dance and stage management, the children’s skills showed no bounds. What I particularly enjoyed watching was how the staff and parents have all came together as a team in support of the children to help them be the best that they can be. I don’t think any other event in the school demonstrated the school’s vision of ‘Deeds Not Words’ quite like this one did. I would like to thank the children for the many hours that they spent learning lines, songs and dance in preparation for the show. Thanks also to our parents who have supported the children so well at home in these preparations. I would like to thank all of the staff and in particular the Primary 7 teachers, Mr McGreevy and Mrs Crutchley who have passionately and courageously made this show into the masterpiece that it was. In the words of Roald Dahl himself, the children are ‘the music makers, and the dreamers of dreams.’
