Dear Parents/Carers,

We initially postponed the parent/teacher meetings in November (with the exception of P7 children) in the hope that we would be able to hold face-face meetings with parents in Term 2. With that in mind we intend to proceed with parent/teacher meetings for P1-P6 children during the week beginning Monday 7^th March from 2.00pm each day. To accommodate this, children will finish school early each day that week at 1.30pm to enable teachers to meet with parents/carers.

We recognise that getting out of work, arranging child care etc. can be challenging. Therefore, this year we are providing you with the option of either a Phone Call, Zoom Meeting or face to face Meeting. You can choose which option suits you best. If you choose a face to face meeting in school, there will be an expectation that you will wear a face covering, use hand sanitiser when entering the school and also not be showing any symptoms of Covid-19.

If your child has a statement of Special Educational Needs and requires an annual review or has an Individual Education Plan, then the planned parent/teacher meeting will take place at the same time as these.

These meetings are very important and I would urge you to make every effort to ensure you facilitate a meeting for your child. If you have more than one child, each of your children’s class teachers will provide an individual appointment for a phone call/zoom meeting or face to face meeting and will liaise with each other to make them on the same day that week. Therefore, on that day, you will have a number of different times to hold a phone call/Zoom or face to face meeting for each child.  The interviews will last a maximum of 10 minutes. Alternative dates/times for meetings cannot be offered.

Meetings will only be made to the first contact for your child as indicated on our parent contact details. If circumstances require contact with an additional parent/ carer, please let your child’s class teacher know via Seesaw or the school office.

Teachers will issue dates/times for meetings by Monday 28^th February. You will have the opportunity on the reply slip to specify which method you would prefer for the meeting i.e. face to face, phone call or Zoom.
